The Tempest
Stage Manager

The Tempest was my first experience with producing a Shakespeare play, as well as stage managing. Nancy Sager, the stage management instructor, supervised me as I developed my personal leadership style. I discovered how to manage a cast and crew, delegate tasks, and continually see the bigger picture throughout the production.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Assistant Stage Manager

Assistant Stage Manager for The Mystery of Edwin Drood was an incredible learning experience. Working with the director, Tom Bradshaw, I learned how to gather information and present it in a concise manner. I was focused on communicating with the costume department and scheduling fittings as well as addressing any costume concerns between the cast and the costume department.

Works of Art

My love of entertainment originated from my love of art. I only discovered the entertainment world when I realized that I wished to see art in practical, every day use. As I continue to pursue theatre and entertainment, I love spending my free time developing my own works of art.

Pride and Prejudice
Scenic Painter & Assistant Stage Manager

Under the direction of Chuck Hughes, I worked on painting two canvas drops for the set of Pride and Prejudice. The drops were 47' by 23' each and replicas of each other. Once placed together, the drops became three separate pieces to enhance the depth and the perspective of the entire set.

One week before opening night, one of the assistant stage managers became ill and I was asked to fill the role. My fellow classmate, Rinko Imashimizu, and I split the role evenly for the remainder of the rehearsals and performances.

Shrek the Musical
Assistant Set Designer

I was given the opportunity to work under Carrie Hamilton in the development of the set for Shrek the Musical. Carrie showed me the world of design and the problem solving that took place to create a set. It gave me a better understanding of how set design can transform the script into a world on stage.
